Women's overseas basketball salaries

Almost no league publishes women's pay. The figures below are what one survey reports, plus one second source. Treat them as directional.

EuroProBasket (a camp operator) reports that a women's import in Europe earns roughly $17,000 to $70,000 a season in most markets, about $93,000 at Italy's leading Serie A1 clubs, and up to $230,000 in France. It says the figures come from its network contacts in those leagues in September 2026.

Does the 2026 WNBA deal change things?

EuroProBasket reports that under the WNBA collective bargaining agreement finalised in March 2026, the minimum salary rose to $270,000 (from $66,079). It also reports that from 2027, players with three or more WNBA seasons must report by 15 April or face a season-long suspension, which clashes with most European seasons. source: europrobasket.com For most players leaving college, Europe is still where a pro career starts. The NCAA estimates 9.1% of draft-eligible women's college players reach a pro league (WNBA or international). source: ncaa.org
